今日取り上げるのは、スカイスポーツの番組、”Super Suday”です。番組コメンテーターに就任したジョゼ・モウリーニョ氏が今シーズンのプレミア優勝予想を語っていましたので、その内容を番組から抜粋してみました。

ついにプレミアリーグが開幕し、”Super Sunday” （番組名）も始まりました。今日から新たにジョゼ・モウリーニョ氏をコメンテーターとしてお迎えすることとなりました。

We do. The promise you’ll be with us until a new job appears. So we will see what happens. But it must be really strange to be with us at the start of a season…
私たちとしては、貴方と長く仕事がしたいですが。。。モウリーニョさんは次の監督の仕事が決まるまでということになりますね。その時はその時で。それにしても、いつもシーズンを監督としてスタートされるモウリーニョさんとこの場でご一緒するのは、なんだか不思議な感覚ですね。
What we (I) do is an experience which I wanna have. Honestly, am I happy, happy, happy? No. I miss it. As you say, (it is) strange. It is the first time since 2000 that I don’t start a competition, so it’s a bit strange. But I want to enjoy what we do. I want to see the other side of football and maybe I understand better your job, when I go back to where I belong to.
僕がここにいるのは経験をするためで、一度やってみたかったんです。ただし、正直今自分がハッピーかと聞かれたら、、、そうではないですね。やはり、現場が恋しいですし、貴方が言ったように、この場にいるのことに少しばかり違和感を感じます。監督以外としてシーズン開幕を迎えるのは2000年以来のことですから。何がともあれ、私はこの仕事を楽しみたいと思っていますし、私がいつもみている視点とは違ったサッカーの側面を知りたいと思います。私が監督復帰する時は、この仕事（メディア）について理解することができていれば良いですね。
Well as you know, these guys always speak complete sense so I’m sure you’ll get in line with that. We start this premier league season. We had a fantastic tile race last time around. Gary talked about it being the flawless title race. How many teams realistically do you think can win the tile?
モウリーニョさんもご存知だと思いますが、隣にいるコメンテーターのお二方の解説はとても明快ですから、きっとモウリーニョさんもお二人と同じような解説をなさると思います。
さて、今シーズンもプレミアリーグが開幕しました。昨シーズンは素晴らしい優勝争いが繰り広げられました。ギャリーさんは、「欠点のない優勝争い」そう表現されていました。今シーズン、モウリーニョさんの予想としては、何チームが優勝争いに加わることが出来るとお考えですか？
Four. Man city, Tottenham, Liverpool, and “Man City B team”. When I look at the bench yesterday, there was the image of the bench. And the players that were not involved in the game, I think, even could fight for the title. Independent of what happened today, even if one of the teams plays magnificently and has a fantastic results, I don’t believe that they’re gonna resist in the tile race and this also bit difficult for me in spite of obviously some good players I don’t see also Arsenal to resist a title race like Gary was saying last season. The season was phenomenal but I think Tottenham has to join it.
４チームですね。マンチェスター・C、リヴァプール、トッテナム、そしてマンチェスター・CのBチームですね（笑）マンCの昨日の試合のベンチメンバーを見たのですが、そのメンバーだけでも優勝争いができるチームが作れると思いましたね。全チームの開幕戦を見た限り、たとえ４チーム以外のどのクラブが素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せたとしても、彼らが優勝争いに加わることはないでしょうね。予想するのは難しいですが、アーセナルも優勝争いに加わるのは難しいかもしれません。確かに、ギャリーさんの言った通りに、このチームの昨シーズンは素晴らしいものでしたが。一方で、トッテナムは優勝争いに加わらなくてはいけないチームだと思います。

今日のインタビューは、 全体のたった5分の1程度の内容です。この後、モウリーニョ氏が昨シーズンまで指揮していたマンチェスター・Uの話へと移っていきます。その部分も次回から上げてきたいと思います！
